• 1.32 tons of crushed oyster shell equals one cubic yard.

A number of different applications call for crushed oyster shell flour. Topcoats for bocce ball courts, plaster and stucco finishing, and water treatment.  Oyster shell flour is more commonly called ground calcium.

Our dried grade is most commonly used for projects where moisture content is critical. Farming and agricultural based work where high calcium carbonate content is desired.

Our Wet/Landscape Grade material is the most popular for landscaping projects.  Applications are primarily driveways, bocce court topcoats and water filtration.

Used for outdoor projects and decorative landscaping. The 3/8″ grade is usually preferred.

Our 1″ Minus is a washed, cleaned shell which is one inch in size or smaller. If you’re looking to achieve a maritime or coastal look for your project, this grade will show the most details and characteristics of the shell.

Our 1″-3″ Tabby Shell Blend is a blend of oyster, clam and other bivalve shells 1″-3″ in size. These shells are most often used in landscaping projects, although, they can be used any place where the appearance of shell is desired. Ideal for terrazzo and tabby concrete projects and mosaics.
